The Old Eighth Ward served as the home to well over a thousand residents who included artists, writers, educators, activists, politicians, construction workers, domestic workers, and many more. This photo gallery seeks to remember those who lived in the Eighth Ward and showcase the neighborhood as a diverse and thriving community in the period of the City Beautiful Movement.
